ABOUT THE FOUNDER & CEO
Laurie Nicole Robinson Haden is a pioneering attorney, founder, and CEO of Corporate Counsel Women of Color (CCWC), a non-profit organization she established in 2004 to advance the professional development of attorneys in the legal profession. Her leadership has fueled the organization’s exponential growth, from just 10 members to over 5,000 today. With deep expertise in privacy, litigation, intellectual property, tax, and governance, Laurie has provided strategic leadership in branding, business development, marketing, and more. She has been the visionary behind impactful programs like CCWC’s Annual Career Strategies Conferences, held across major U.S. cities and internationally, and the organization’s groundbreaking research on the career progression of women of color attorneys. Beyond her work with CCWC, Laurie brings decades of experience from CBS Corporation (now Paramount +), where she served as Senior Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of the litigation group. Her career has been marked by numerous accolades, including recognition by Ebony Magazine, Savoy Magazine, and awards such as the New York City Bar Diversity Champion Award, the United Nations Humanitarian Award, and the M. Ashley Dickerson Award from the National Association of Women Lawyers. Laurie’s commitment to diversity and empowerment extends to her education and early leadership. A magna cum laude graduate of North Carolina Central University, where she served as Miss North Carolina Central University, and a Juris Doctor from Indiana University School of Law, she has consistently demonstrated excellence and service. Laurie continues to inspire change through her tireless advocacy and exceptional leadership in the legal profession.
